A little while back now we purchased the domain timestamp.io to allow us to and consolidate our branding and act as our primary Web URL. Until now all users have continued to login to Timestamp using their company specific URL.
This was not consistent with our branding and has always been confusing for some users when they wanted to bookmark the site.
Thanks to some architectural changes that will help other parts of Timestamp going forward, we are now in a position to be able to remove the use of company specific URLs for the simplicity of a consistent URL that all users can bookmark and access:
For the time being you will be automatically redirected from your company specific URL to the new URL. Please do take the chance to update your bookmarks!
The road ahead
The changes to login were not only for cosmetic and consistency reasons, but have allowed us to rework some underlying architecture to improve Timestamp features and add new functionality going forward. Some of the things that are coming soon:
- Flexibility improvements to all users, with a specific emphasis on making external users easier to use and much more powerful and flexible
- New and improved Timesheet experience
- Reworked, simpler approvals system that works well for smaller companies who engage with their clients
